Passengers breathe a sigh of relief as the train catering will make their journey easy and hassle-free

The South Eastern Railway (SER) has decided to restore operation of the Howrah-Jagdalpur Samaleshwari Express (18005/18006) via Sambalpur from January 3, 2022.
The above mentioned train will leave Howrah every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 10:20 pm to reach Jagdalpur at 10:05 pm the next day.
In the reverse direction, the 1806 Jagdalpur-Howrah Express will depart from Jagdalpur every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 5:05 am and arrive in Howrah at 5:15 am the next day.
The Up train will reach Tatanagar station at 02:25 am while the return train will reach the same station at 01:05 am.
Station manager PK Balmuchu said: “Train services were suspended in April of this year during the second wave of Covid.”
Chhotanagpur Passenger Association senior official Arun Tiwari said the restoration of the train would benefit passengers immensely.
âMany passengers are coming to Chhatisgarh from Tatanagar and other places under the Chakradharpur division. The restoration of the train will make their journeys easy and hassle-free, âhe said.
The train will have one First AC, one AC 2-Tier, two AC 3-Tier, six sleeping cars and two general second class cars. It will stop at Uluberia, Bagnan, Mecheda, Panskura, Kharagpur, Jhargram, Tatanagar, Chakradharpur, Manoharpur, Rourkela, Rajgangpur, Bamra and Jharsuguda, for the embarkation or disembarkation of passengers.
The return train (18006) will stop at Santragachi instead of Mecheda station.
